Crab Nebula M1

The Crab Nebula, M1, a supernova remnant in the constellation of Taurus. It is the remnants of a bright supernova observed by Chinese astronomers in the year 1054, and is approximately 6,500 light years away from us.

Celestron 9.25” EdgeHD with a .7x reducer at 1645mm focal length.

Image Specs:

70 x 300 second exposed images at Gain 100

Camera sensor cooled to -20°C

Optolong L-eXtreme filter (7nm Ha and 7nm Oiii)

Calibrated (with darks, flats, dark flats) and stacked in Astro Pixel Processor and post processed in PixInSight.
