Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon
Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon from my backyard in the Northern Adirondacks. I had a very brief session before it set behind the trees. I was able to capture 10 x 120 second exposed images with my ZWO FF65 Refractor Telescope, ASI2600MC-Air camera, and ZWO AM5 mount. Stacked and calibrated with darks, flats and dark flats in Astro Pixel Processor. I did a normal registration for the star field and then I did a comet registration for the comet. I then brought tw

M31 - Andromeda Galaxy
M31 - Andromeda The Andromeda Galaxy (M31), a spiral galaxy located approximately 2.5 million light-years away. Andromeda Galaxy spans more than 220,000 light-years across and contains roughly a trillion stars — more than twice the number in our own Milky Way. If you look closely, you can spot its satellite galaxies M32 and M110, which appear as soft elliptical glows nearby. M31 - Andromeda Annotated This image was stacked and processed to reveal the faint dust lanes, glowin

Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon
Tonight I had a small break in clouds and rain to turn the SkyShed POD-S and scope to Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon. Imaged with the Celestron 11” EdgeHD and ZWO ASI2600mc-pro. Single 20 second image capture with NINA interface. While I was using the dome, my dad used the Seestar S50 to image the comet.

Milky Way and Air Glow
The Milky Way from my backyard in the Northern Adirondacks of Saranac, New York. Captured with my Spencer's Astro Modified Canon R6 camera on a fixed Benro Carbon Fiber Tripod. This is a single image capture through the Rokinon 14mm f2.8 lens exposed for 25 seconds. The airglow was strong and was showing up in all the images as green and yellow/orange toward the southern horizon. The green color is from oxygen atoms recombining after being split by the UV from the sunshin

First Light from the fully automated and remote POD-S
First light processed image from the remotely operated SkyShed POD-S. The motor kit is installed and it is working flawlessly. NGC660, a polar-ring galaxy about 45 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces. The warped, X-shaped structure is the result of a galactic collision — a spiral galaxy that likely captured material from a passing neighbor, forming a stunning ring of gas, dust, and stars that orbits at a sharp angle to its main disk. Integration: 110 x 300 se

Total Lunar Eclipse
Here’s my rendition of the Total Lunar Eclipse with phases from March 14, 2025. Surprisingly, I have not touched my Total Solar Eclipse images from over a year ago. I need to go through them and put that collage together. Captured from my backyard using a ZWO FF65 refractor telescope, an ASI2600mc-pro camera, ASIair Plus, on an AM5 mount.

POD-S Installed
The new SkyShed POD-S dome was successfully installed! I needed help lifting the dome due to its heavy weight, but it's now mounted up on the walls. With the tall walls, there is no ducking down at my 5’8” (173cm) height. I absolutely love it! It'll be fully automated and remote-accessible. The next steps are to install the interior flooring and mount the Celestron 11-inch SCT on the pier. The motor control unit and the motors will be arriving soon!
