I recently ordered a SkyShed POD for my backyard. I installed the decking, buried and ran electrical out to the deck. The decking is approximately 13’ by 11’ and has an independent concrete pier with four j-bolts coming up to secure the SkyShed metal pier. I’m planning on initially using my Celestron CGEM DX mount on it. The pier plate adapter I ordered with it is compatible with SkyWatcher, Celestron and iOptron mounts. The next steps are to install steps, stain the decking and then I will be all set to install the dome.
